About

Hello.  This blog is a space to share my experience of how so many things can be understood through the capture and analysis of measurable and observable data.  We are presently in a new era of not only discovering the previously unknowable, but also the cusp of influencing outcomes.

Is this good?  Is this bad?  Allow me to quote one of my early supervisors:  “It depends.” In fact, quality answers require going deeper than a binary outcome or a summary slide in an executive deck.  Context and execution could be the difference between effective, futile, negligible, or degraded outcomes.

The span of topics will range from mathematical models that pervade the natural world, to methods that enable better decisions in enterprises to miscellaneous contemporary topics.  Furthermore, this will be a living document, where more content is developed over time.

Finally, I decided to put the things I’m interested in or learned through my academic, occupational, and extracurricular life.  I’ve been fortunate enough to have rich opportunities in all those realms.  Yet, I am certain that I will always pursue learning no matter what.  Thus, I welcome comments, refinements, or counterpoints.
